Although I've been knitting and painting ever since I can remember, it wasn't until 2020 that I was provided the opportunity to make this a career choice. I decided to make the leap and start doing what I love full time. I am inspired by nature and things around me. My store offers unique gift ideas that stir cherished memories and the beauty of things around us. I am so grateful for the gift I have been given and want to share my designs with others. When you buy something handmade you are buying a piece of the heart and soul of the craftsman.
I was born in Scotland to a very creative family who never just sat and watched TV. I started knitting at an early age and did some knitting for a company while in college. After college I moved to the USA where I have lived for most of my adult years. I worked in corporate America for 20+ years and between work and family lost my flare for the creative things I used to love. With a breast cancer diagnosis in 2015, and over a year of treatment I started to re-evaluate my life and here I am!
A lot of my items are unique one of-a-kind and others I can recreate however no two will ever be exactly the same. I am an avid gardener and love all the birds that visit my garden. I also have a koi pond which is quite often an inspiration for a lot of my pieces. I have always been a wildlife enthusiast and advocate, and you will also find that reflected in my work. When I sit down to create something I don't always have a plan in mind, but all of a sudden, my paint brushes take over and it comes together. I love variety and being able to offer that one-of-a-kind style.
