Embroidery artist specializing in the technique of needle painting.

I decided to become a professional embroidery artist in 2019. I stumbled upon embroidery one Christmas after making a Christmas stocking for my mother. She had embroidered ones for all the family, but didn't have one of her own. I learned two things making that stocking. One, I couldn't/wouldn't follow a pattern. There were just too many things that could be changed and tweaked. The possibilities were endless. And two, I had fallen completely in love. I still strive to this day to create the best piece I can. I pride myself in my workmanship and quality. I consider embroidery to be a beautiful and complicated art form. It can be difficult but worth every second.
Every piece I create is special and unique. They're made with love and attention to detail. On average, a needle painting takes around 40 hours to complete, and around 70 or more colors of floss are used.
Each embroidery comes with a Certificate of Authenticity that certifies it as an original piece of art created by myself. They are packaged with the upmost of care to be shipped.
My work has been featured in magazines such as Stitch Magazine, New Media International and Sewliloquies.
I am open for commissions at this time. My finished pieces come mounted and laced on acid-free art board. They are matted, ready to be framed. It’s recommend to use plexiglass if you choose to cover the embroidery in a frame or to not use any glass at all. I will include a pamphlet on how to care for your piece so it will last for years to come.
If you’d rather have something embroidered that can be used instead of hung on the wall, let me know. Almost anything can be embroidered. I’ve embroidered things like shoes, clothing, bags, place-settings, i.e. napkins and placemats, gloves, hats, etc. Please don’t hesitate to ask for something you’d like. All my pieces are made to last for a very long time. The stitches are extremely secure and can even be washed in the washing machine on gentle cycle.
