Seller was fast to fix the faulty base coil I originally got, so order with confidence! Works with the cheapo 17 ft antennas as well! I would recommend this to a friend! As for improvements, might want to use 4 radials (instead of the default 2 that it comes with), have a wider antenna coil base (so there is less chance of the base coil snapping off the tripod when there are strong gusts or it falls over), and have a 3/8" tripod mount offering since that nut can handle more load than the default 1/4" nut (which a lot of full size tripods offer).

A great antenna that's easy to set up and take down. It's very portable and worth having in any ham's portable kit.

Shipped quickly, well packaged. Setup and takedown are simple. Took it out for some POTA and made FT8 contacts coast to coast at 10W. Got under 1.5:1 SWR on 20m without my tuner.

Works on the bands I typically pota 20/17/15 M. In transit the base broke off. Superglued back together. Going to Europe with me.

A cool little antenna to keep in the truck to use portable

This is an inexpensive, cool gadget for you HF radio tinkerers out there. It’s simple but well-thought-out and would make a great gift. I love items like these. Fun to play around with, but absolutely serve a purpose as well. Great job..

I purchased this product from Jeff and I’m very happy with it. Due to the weather this past week i only had an opportunity to set it up and use one time. Setting up on 20 meters was quick and easy with an SWR less than !.3:1 across the entire band. I only made one contact before the weather got to hot but it was to POTA #US4293, 315 miles from my home. I was using a Xiegu X6100 running 5 watts. I did find a YouTube video by Mike N2MAK showing the Pickle Antenna. The main thing he stressed as does Jeff Fuller, the designer/builder, is read, then reread the instructions. Im waiting for the weather to straighten out so i can get more time with this product. UPDATE I’m very pleased with this antenna and I’m looking forward the his next release. Thanks Jeff for a great product.
