Hello! Welcome to Jen Simpson Design!

We are Jen and Luke, a husband and wife team who work together and play together. We love to hang out at the beach, go on camping and hiking adventures and spend time with our family and friends.

Jen is the design half, always looking for inspiration and new ideas to keep the shop fresh and fun. Luke is the production guy, making sure every cut is perfect and every order a success. Together they are a team making sure you have the best experience when ordering invitations and paper goods for your special event.

We are Jen and Luke Simpson. Our love for all things paper began while planning our own wedding. After all the fun and excitement of creating our own invitations and stationery we received rave reviews and encouragement to share our talent with others. We took their advice, started Jen Simpson Design in 2010, and now we take pride in helping brides all over the world find their perfect invitation!

Jen is the design half of the team, she started her career in apparel design but quickly realized her passion for all things paper and pretty. She loves working one on one with brides and will be with you every step of the way. She has the ability to create a design for every style of bride, from vintage and rustic to fun and whimsy.

Luke is the production guy, making sure every cut is straight and every order a success. He is meticulous when it comes to the assembly and construction of our invitations. Perfection is key, by taking pride in searching out the best papers, trade tools, and printing methods available.

Returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Due to the custom nature of the product, there are no refunds but we will do everything we can to make sure you are happy with your invitations and stationery.
Payment
::Samples::
We strongly encourage you to make sure that you've seen the paper and materials that we'll be using. Purchase a sample if you would like to first see quality and colors.

PLEASE NOTE- sample invitations may not come in the colors pictured in the posting, I use what is available in my inventory. If you would like the sample to be in your colors, we can do that! It is $10 for the color change plus the sample listing price. Or, if you would just like to see a digital mock up it is $10. Just send me a convo and I can post a custom listing for you.

Do keep in mind: Once we start the proof process of the actual order you will see all of the colors laid out on a digital proof and we can tweak the ink colors to match any swatches or color standards that you have. By request, a complimentary approval sample is included with your order so you can see the physical piece before we go into production. Please note that approval samples will be flat printed because of the set up time and expense that goes into letterpress, foil and thermography printing. We will include a reference sample of the printing method so you can see quality.

::Process::

1. Find the deposit and printable listing for the design you would like to have. Use the drop down listing to the right side of the image to select the "$150 deposit for print" option and purchase the listing.

2. Send over your wording and order details using our order form:

3. We will send over a proof for you to approve in 2-3 business days if we are using an existing design from our collection, and 1-2 weeks if it is a custom design. 3 revisions are included after that it is $10 per proof. Please take a careful and thorough look over the proof before approving for print. Once the design has been approved we are not responsible for any overlooked spelling, paper or color errors.

Custom designs will include 2-3 presented design options and 3 revisions to a chosen design. Invitations will be priced out per set after finalizing the design. If the client should choose to change the design direction after the proofs have been presented an additional design fee will be added for the new set of designs.

4. Once approved, we will start production. Normal production is 2-3 weeks from proof approval. We may need up to a 4 week production time to complete specialty printing orders, please be sure to approve your design in a timely manner to give us ample production time. A rush fee may be applied to the order for faster production.

5. When production is complete we will contact you with an updated contract or breakdown. Final payment is due on or before handover or shipment of your order. You have the option to come pick up your order in San Clemente or have it shipped.

6. Receive and send out your beautiful invitations and get compliments from your guests!

7. Come back for day of stationery: programs, menus, table numbers, escort cards, signage, etc.

::Shipping::
The client is responsible for all shipping fee's. We add the shipping cost on to the final payment of your order. If we are shipping your order we are not responsible for any delay that occurs during shipping. We ship priority through USPS, and addinsurance to our packages. If you would like to use another shipping carrier, a packing and drop of fee will be applied.
For customers out of the US- additional fees can occur depending on your countries customs regulations, the customer is responsible for these fees.

If you are ordering outside of the US, please note that some countries will apply additional customs taxes to the shipment. We charge for the cost of shipping that is due in the US at the time of shipping, any additional charges are the clients responsibility.

::Payment::
Work on your order will begin when your deposit of 50% of the total amount due has been cashed and cleared. Design for a custom invitation will not begin until your design fee has been cashed and cleared. The full balance due must be paid before the order will be shipped or at handover. You may pay using check, cash or credit card. If using a credit card the payment will be made through PayPal. This will add a 3% service charge to your order. If paying through PayPal we will send an invoice to your e-mail address within one business day.

All payments are nonrefundable due to cancelation. Due to the custom nature of the product there are no refunds unless there is an error on the production side.

::Reorders::
If you would like to place a reorder, it is the cost of the invitations
plus a $15 set up fee.

::Printable Files:

1. Find the deposit and printable listing for the design you would like to have. Use the drop down listing to the right side of the image to select the items you would like and purchase the listing.

4. Once approved, please let us know the best e-mail to send the digital files to and how you would like the files set up for print. Check with your printer if you are using an online or local source to see what they prefer. Everyone is different. Here are some popular options:

- PDF with hairline marks for cutting and bleed
- Actual size PDF or JPG

5. We send over your file in 1-2 business days from approval

6. Print and enjoy :)

If you live in California there will be an 8.75% sales tax added to your purchase.
Shipping
We ship USPS priority mail. All orders over $100 will have confirmation signature and insurance. Let me know if you prefer another form of shipping. Custom orders will have the shipping cost added after the calculation of the cost of shipping has been found.
