Announcement   Thank you for your patience while we've been in the moving transition. I'm excited to announce that the studio is set up and functioning!

Shipping fees now reflect sending from the USA. Shipping within the USA is still reasonable at a flat $3.50, but for international shipments, I haven't yet found any good alternative to USPS, so I've put in the $14 they're charging, I'm very sorry about that. I will continue to investigate a reasonable shipping fee with other carriers. (see below for other international shipping info)

The category "custom pieces" feature pieces that I will custom make for you. Usually this takes about a week!

Visit my blog at www.jenefer.net to subscribe to receive an email when I announce new designs/ giveaways / contests / sales.

If you've gotten all checked out, but then find another bit of glassy loveliness to add to your order, please feel free to use this code in your second checkout. It will delete the second shipping charge: ADDTOCURRENTORDER

Visit my blog at www.jenefer.net to subscribe to receive an email when I announce new designs / giveaways / contests / sales.

Jenefer Ham creates unique glass Player Markers for board games like Agricola, Pandemic, Catan. Custom pawns make fabulous wedding presents (or cake toppers) for the avid gamer! Also beautiful lamp worked glass jewelry, animals and sculptures.

PS -- Did you know that if you 'favorite' my shop, you will see my new listings on your main Etsy page. This is a great and easy way to be notified of all my newest designs!

----------------------8/8/18 UPDATE:-----------------------------
------------ INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS--------------------

I sent my first package from the US to the UK. The buyer reported that it attracted a £19 fee on a $75 purchase. I don't know if that will happen with every package, but the official rules are:

United Kingdom:
• Goods purchased of £15 or less are free from Customs Duty and import VAT.
• Goods between £15-135 will be charged VAT but no Customs Duty.
• Goods above £135 will be charged both VAT and Customs Duty.

Value Added Tax (VAT) - Import VAT is charged at the same rate that applies to similar goods sold in the UK and applies to commercial goods over £15 in value, and on gifts that are over £39 in value. The value of the goods for import VAT is based on the:

basic value of goods, plus
postage, packing and insurance, plus
any import (Customs or Excise) duties charged

Additionally, If customs charges are payable upon importation, Royal Mail will charge a handling fee.

(more info: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/notice-143-a-guide-for-international-post-users/notice-143-a-guide-for-international-post-users)

EU COUNTRIES:
VAT is not due when the total value of all goods in a consignment (value not inclusive of customs duties or transport costs) is less than a threshold. The threshold may vary from 10 euros to 22 euros, depending on the EU country.

I am sorry our move has made it so expensive for non-Americans to buy my pieces. We are considering an annual commitment to visiting Essen, or the UK Games Expo, and can coordinate hand-delivery of orders that way. I'll update here, and my blog as this develops.

In the meanwhile, any customs fees/charges/duty/VAT are the responsibility of the buyer.

About

Making wonderful glass jewelry, sculptures and board game player markers

My design philosophy is inspired by Arts & Crafts era designer William Morris when he said "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." I hope you'll find your Jenefer Ham glass to be both beautiful and useful.

I get great satisfaction from making work the right way (some might say I'm a bit of a control freak that way...it must be done right!). My hope is that my pieces will become treasured, well-used, well-loved family heirlooms.

I have a blog at www.jenefer.net if you'd like to know more about me!

    Owner, Creator, Designer

I've been working with glass for 14 years, and before that had my own graphic design firm. I'm very good at listening and designing and making. While I'm a bit of a control freak, it's all good because I'm a stickler for doing the job right!

  • Richard Rahdo Ham

    Awesome Husband, Technical Support

In the role of super duper husband for 27 years now, Richard figures out stuff like how to get my blog posts to show up on Facebook, why some widget or another isn't working/showing up/looks wrong, keeps our computers humming & is my sounding board.

  • Daisy

    Cutie Pie

This is Daisy. She's a rescue from Adopt a Sicilian Stray. She completes our beagley family and is a great play buddy for Gertrude.

  • Dobby

    Guardian Beagle

This is Dobby, who loved socks and was a part of our lives for almost 16 years. She has joined Tula on guardian beagle duty and we miss her greatly.

  • Gertrude

    Nap Buddy

This is our new beagle, Gertrude. She's two years old, a cousin of Taloula, and joined our family in August. She's still settling in, but currently is excelling as nap-buddy and prime cuddler.

  • Taloula

    Guardian Beagle

This is Tula, who left us unexpectedly in April, due to cancer. She was such a goofball, and we miss her very much. We rehomed her from beaglewelfare.org.uk at 5 years and enjoyed her company for 7 years.

Hello and welcome to my little shop!

I love glass and have enjoyed working with it since 2002.

All my glass pieces are hand crafted by me and are immediately kiln annealed for durability, then cleaned, and are presented in a lovely velvet pouch.

I make every effort to show the glass colors as accurately as possible, but computer monitors are all different. If you're concerned about matching a color exactly, please email me and we can discuss if I can meet your needs. Otherwise, I think you'll find that my photos give a good indication of the colors, and I think you'll be very pleased with your glass. Photographing glass is challenging and my pieces are even prettier in person.

If you'd like to know about promotions/contests please visit my website at www.jenefer.net and pop your email address in the 'subscribe' box.

Thanks for looking at my work!

=) Jenefer

Shipping
Shipping cost: there is a flat shipping charge, and ALL additional pieces sent in the same package ship for FREE! Yay!

First class shipping is from Vancouver WA, USA and includes a tracking number. I post to the address that you have registered with Etsy, so please take a moment and confirm that it is correct. I am sorry but once it's left my hands I have no control over delivery times.

For shipping, I wrap the glass carefully in dense bubble-foam wrap, and then place it in its lovely velvet pouch. For the exterior mailing envelope I usually use a padded bubble envelope. Orders with multiple items may be mailed in a box.

You can see a photo of how I wrap and package my glass at https://www.etsy.com/shop/JeneferHamGlass/about?ref=shopinfo_about_leftnav. Click through the photos at the top, it's the 5th photo.

Additional policies and FAQs
Every care has been taken to ensure long life, but my pieces are made of glass, so common sense and care should be taken when handling them. You can clean them with a soft cloth and a bit of soap & water.

They are also relatively small items, so please use care if allowing children to view/hold/play with the pieces.
Privacy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewellery, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

• Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

How to Contact Me
