Handmade jewelry and accessories with a vintage vibe and a bit of whimsy
My love for creating began long before I opened my Etsy shop many years ago. I’ve been making jewelry and crafting for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was always working with my hands and eager to learn new skills: painting, drawing, sewing, photography, graphic design, and jewelry making, just to name a few. If it involved creativity, I wanted to try it. Art was always my favorite subject in school, and I found ways to create wherever I could: making salt dough pins for friends, turning buttons into earrings, painting bold designs on my sneakers, and even sewing my own clothes to wear to school. Creating has always been part of who I am.
As an adult, I continued to build on that creative foundation through work in graphic design, display design, and hands-on building. These experiences shaped the way I approach jewelry today: thoughtfully, visually, and with an appreciation for structure, balance, and storytelling.
I began selling my jewelry and accessories while my children were young as a way to earn extra income doing what I loved. I started with making polymer clay jewelry and selling it to teacher friends at our school. Before long, I was visiting several schools in our district, participating in local craft markets, and growing a small but loyal customer base. At that time, my work focused mainly on polymer clay and beaded jewelry.
After moving to another state, I continued on the craft show circuit for many years, sharing my work face-to-face with customers. Along the way, I worked a variety of part-time jobs while raising my family. One of those jobs was at a small boutique, where the owner asked me to create vintage-style jewelry for the shop. That experience sparked a deeper love for vintage jewelry but that love began much earlier.
When I was a child, my mom and I often visited an elderly neighbor who would let me play in her jewelry box. I was completely mesmerized by the sparkle of her cameo brooches, trinkets, and clip-on earrings. That sense of wonder never left me, and it continues to influence my work today.
I’ve spent most of my life working with my hands, designing and building, making jewelry and art. I still find tremendous joy in creating pieces that others can wear, treasure, and enjoy. Thank you for being part of my creative journey and for supporting my small handmade business.
Happy shopping!
