Family Treasures, Memories and Gifts from the Past
Jessamine's was begun as my parents began to age. They had a beautiful home full of antiques and family memories. When we moved them to a retirement home many of the items were distributed as they had wished and after a yard sale or two the remaining pieces were left with a question mark. We had sorted some before the yard sales - so I packed up all the remaining items and brought them home.
A few months later a favorite cousin brought vintage buttons to my attention - Oh my!! Vintage buttons and vintage button jewelry struck a chord so another layer of items to incorporate into the collection.
As my husband's mother aged a few more items were added to the inventory and then there is always a homemade item or two added to the mix. Our little homestead has a few things to add from time to time.
It seemed an Etsy shop was born out of necessity and joy. Jessamine is one of my mother's middle names and it seemed appropriate - a bit vintage, if you will - and classy at the same time. Jessamine's definitely has a Granny core feel.
Even with the sales we have made it seems the inventory grows - I could be at this for some time - enjoying every minute.
