I started my business in Dumbo, Brooklyn, in New York City in an old industrial loft building. Down the street from me was Etsy right after it started. Etsy was a bright spot on an otherwise drab Brooklyn street. With brightly colored windows and goofy graphics, you knew something cool was happening there.

My original singular listing on Etsy went viral within 12 hours of being listed and was seen all over the world on hundreds of websites. It was a crazy very cool experience.

If you like to make things, Dumbo Brooklyn is a great place for inspiration, It is one of the oldest manufacturing areas in the New World with over 400 years of recorded industry.

Within a few blocks of my studio the cardboard box was invented, Brillo Pads were created from left over metal shavings and Benjamin Moore mixed his paints. The ice cream sensation Eskimo Pies were manufactured here and the world headquarters of Jones Brothers, better known as Grand Union Grocery is here too. This is where they roasted their famous coffees and blended their teas. The Manhattan Bridge is overhead and the Brooklyn Bridge is just down the street. The subway rattles and clanks above and vibrates the ground from the tunnels deep beneath your feet.

A professionally trained artist I have 15+ years of experience in the fine art and industrial design fields using a wide variety of materials and processes on worldwide projects.

Starting with an idea, I sketch it out, make the prototypes and tooling, and then manufacture my own designs in-house and ship my items too.

Operating my company Specialized Composites, Inc. is my full time job. My business is registered with the U.S. Small Business Administration and is also a Dun and Bradstreet registered company.

All my products are my own original designs, manufactured and assembled by me in the USA and shipped worldwide.

My designs are as environmentally friendly as possible. I like to make things that are rugged, lightweight and built to last. This approach is actually more economical in the long run which saves resources and money. That's a good thing!

One of my favorite tools is a paper cutting straight edge, at least 100 years old that I salvaged from the Gair Building that is now Etsy's headquarters!
