Decided to Do It Myself!
I was searching online for wool pressing mats and saw there was a large variety of products available. When I actually did the research to find out what kind of wool is used, what grade, what density, etc. I found a vast difference in quality between different manufacturers. Since it was unclear to me what quality of wool pressing mat I would be receiving if I ordered online, I decided to do it myself so I'd know exactly what I was getting. I chose an American company to provide me with large rolls of bulk pressed wool in a grade and density I knew was the industry standard for quilting pressing mats. I hand cut every mat I sell to customers by myself, to either general sizes, or to the specific size and shape my customer desires. I respond promptly to quotes for special orders, and I ship quickly. I am amazed and gratified by all the wonderful reviews my customers have left for me.
Besides enjoying my time creating quilts, I have recently started writing my own patterns and have sold several to magazines and fabric companies. I hope to start putting more of my patterns, along with kits to create them, in my shop soon.
I am also available to do trunk shows or speak at local guild meetings.
