So where to start. There is so much to be grateful for in my world. I have been a one woman circus act for the last 30 years. Since graduating from Savannah College of Art & Design in 2003, Lovejoy Creations has grown and evolved has I have grown and evolved. My goal when leaving Savannah was to earn my living as an artist, and be creative and active everyday. Maybe I should of been more specific......Yet I lived just that.

After graduating, I landed in Sedona, AZ and spent the next 7 years developing my style with the palette knife, and bold use of color. I usually don't know what my final art piece will look like when I start, just the subject and basic composition. Finding most of my creative flow within the wildlife genre, I found a way to sculpt with my paint, layer by layer. Creating a beautiful play of lights and shadows, full of unexpected colors side by side. Its a dance, a push and pull until the form becomes whole. I find so much peace when I"m creating.

During my time in Sedona, I produced, commissioned and sold a well rounded collection of work. Uptown Sedona is home to my largest piece of public art. "A Timeless Day in Sedona" is a 51x7 ft. public mural. My absolute love of sedona went into this creation. The years of mountain biking, creating, hiking, exploring, living, & loving life came alive on the panels. This mural is an epic story of sedona, I am honored I got to paint it. I currently reside in San Diego, CA continuing to be creative everyday. Life is a full on roller coaster many days, and my art is what keeps me grounded, and happy. I am currently teaching painting, working on a new wildlife series, and taking my studio outdoors. This spring I will drive to beautiful locations in southern california and paint.
