5 out of 5 starsI apologize for taking so long to review this incredible outfit! We had company at our home for two weeks followed shortly by my husband coming down with COVID. The design, sewing, and craftsmanship of this captivating ensemble are excellent! The spring green, lavender, and white plaid fabric gives the Molly gown and ruffled tiered capelet a joyful spring vibe. I love all the lace, bows, ribbon, and ruffles. The lavender ribbon belt with the rhinestone buckle, the handcrafted lavender shoes, and the pretty chemisette are fabulous! The lavender bonnet is the 1840 style I requested. With purple velvet ribbon trim and ties plus floral accents, the bonnet is a work of art! Thank you for taking my request, Sarah and Julie. I appreciate all the work that goes into a project such as this. The end result is astonishing!

5 out of 5 starsThis ensemble is absolutely beautiful! The lavender, blue, and white floral is made in the 1840 or Jane Eyre style using a Pemberley Threads pattern. The short sleeve gown is fashioned for warmer weather. White lace accents the neck and sleeves while lavender piping delineates the bodice seams. The colors are vibrant and cheerful! The bonnet is exceptionally lovely! It is done in the wide 1840 style. The satin lavender bonnet is trimmed with dark blue ribbon and piping while wide lace lines the front of the bonnet to frame the wearer’s face. It also has floral decorative elements. Then there are the square toed slippers in matching lavender satin trimmed with dark blue bows. This ensemble is wonderful! Thank you, Sarah and Julie!

5 out of 5 starsI’m at a loss for words. This Anne of Green Gables dress is amazing, extraordinary, beyond beautiful, graceful, delicate, gorgeous and perfect! Excellent quality and craftsmanship; Julie has remarkable sewing abilities. The quality of the dress is unsurpassed! I just can’t believe how beautiful my Anne doll looks- I can picture her giving her oration of the “Highway Man” at the White Sands Hotel. The gloves are so detailed and I love that they have the fingers in them. The shoes are very pretty too with small lavender florets matching the ribbon on the dress. I’m so happy that I was able to purchase this lovely dress. The seller is extremely nice and helpful. Fast shipping too. Thank you!!!

5 out of 5 starsThis ensemble caught my eye immediately! The cream and red rose print is so vibrant! I love how Sarah used ruching and cranberry piping to accentuate the sleeves and bodice. The cranberry ribbon belt has an interesting antique gold buckle. The slippers that are part of the set are handmade and decorated specifically for this gown. They too are a gorgeous cranberry red and came in their own shoe box. Then there is the striking red bonnet that looks so fantastic with the gown. I am totally impressed. Thank you, Sarah, for a marvelous outfit!

About JuliesThreadedNeedle
The Inspiration for Julies threaded needle
We started this shop as a way to supplement a one income household and to help my daughter Sarah or any of our other five children that wished to work from home do so.
We love dolls and with 4 girls in the family have collected quite a few of them. All dolls need clothes and this was a way to teach the girls how to sew by making doll clothes.
Since my two oldest children now 21 and 20, were 2 and 3 we have gotten together with my siblings and their families and celebrated All Saints Day. The children each pick a saint, dress up as them and tell their story to our extended family members (55 and counting). It is a cherished family custom that we look forward to each year.
We are also very blessed to be able to live in beautiful northern Michigan! A couple years back we were on a Sunday drive and ended up at the largest Nun museum in the U.S. There are 525 nun dolls and 20 mannequins whose traditional habits depict 217 different religious orders of nuns and priests.
It is the combination of these three things that inspired us to start this shop. We love dressing our dolls so why not dress them in Saint costumes and Nun Habits. What better kind of play could there be for my girls.
That's our story in a nutshell. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read about us. God bless you!
