Announcement   I love making quilts, wallets and other quilted items because they are a lasting expression of beauty for you or a gift for others.

I welcome custom orders and would love to meet your quilting heart's desire. I love working with customers to get that perfect quilt! I buy all my fabric on sale so that I can offer affordable prices.

I believe that quilts should be loved and used in our daily lives, and that is why I use high quality 100% cotton fabrics for my quilts because of the beautiful crinkled vintage style look and softness that occurs when machine washed in cool water on gentle cycle and machine dried on low.

Thanks for visiting y'all!

About

Quilts Looking for A Forever Home - 100% Hand Made by Me

I have been in love with quilting for over 20 years and have found great joy in creating lasting beauty for others. I have gifted family and friends for years and decided to open my Etsy shop to spread the love.

Since opening JuneBugQuilts, I have discovered that the thing I enjoy most is making custom quilts and wallets to meet a customer's quilting heart's desire. Once I have been contacted about a project, I work closely with my customer to find out exactly what it is they want in a quilt or a wallet. In between projects I make quilts for my shop and take great joy in every stage of the process.

I make it a habit to buy quilt shop quality designer fabric for my shop on sale so that I can offer a discount resulting in more affordable prices. I find that many of my customers are young families, and I also offer an additional military discount for custom orders. If I don't have the perfect fabric available, I will locate and purchase it for you.

In 2011 my daughter was expecting her second child in June, and my husband called the baby June Bug. So I just had to use her nickname in my shop name. My shop logo is the center of the quilt I made Mikah for her first birthday. In May of 2013 my daughter had a baby girl, Addie Blair, who was born with Down Syndrome. She brought so much sunshine into our lives until she left us at 19 months of age after not waking up from a bone marrow biopsy. She is now the official shop angel of JuneBugQuilts. Ten months later my daughter had another baby girl named Harper Lovenia, and Love was born.

I go to Baton Rouge a couple of Wednesdays a month to meet with the Quilt Nuts that I met at a local quilt shop that has since closed. It was great to find friends who share my passion of quilting.

I live in small town in southern Louisiana and am in love with quilting. This is a picture of "June Bug", the inspiration for my shop name.

Welcome to JuneBugQuilts! I love making quilts, table runners and other quilted decorative items because of their beauty and lasting expression of homemade love.

I use high quality100% cotton designer fabrics because of the beautiful crinkled vintage style look and softness that occurs when the completed quilt is machine washed in cool water on gentle cycle and machine dried on low.

This gives a beautiful drape to the quilt and enhances the durability so that your quilt will be a family treasure for years to come. Nothing leaves my shop that I would not be proud to display in my own home.
