My gypsy wagon is overflowing! Family says, "Sell!"
Never outgrowing my childhood love of playing dress up, I have always had old jewelry boxes overflowing with shiny vintage jewelry, and trunks full of hats, gloves, shawls, and other assorted props. These dress up closets provided my daughters and nieces their needed attire for regular tea parties, my drama students their costumes for classroom plays, and my friends with their outlandish party costumes over the years.
My daughters and nieces are grown, and I am retired, but my house is still filled with all sorts of unique items to be shared. Etsy provides a way for me to gradually downsize my overflowing stash of kitschy cool vintage, retroware, and vintiques with the assurance each item will continue to be appreciated and well used.
Always the English teacher, I enjoy researching the stories behind and imagining the possibilities in front of the quirky and nostalgic items I have found on my travels far and near. JunqueGypsy listings tend to reflect my enjoyment of researching and writing; no "bare bones" descriptions from me! And I'm excited when shoppers share their knowledge of items with me as well.
So climb aboard my virtual gypsy wagon. Look around, stay for a while, and let's chat. And be sure to come back; the inventory is always growing.
