In 1727, a young Benjamin Franklin gathered a circle of printers, tradesmen, and thinkers into a club he called the Junto, a society for mutual improvement, where people argued ideas, sharpened each other, and tried to leave things a little better than they found them. The Junto Shop takes its name, and its spirit, from that room.
What we make.
This is a shop for people who read the plaque, finish the book, and have opinions about both. History and the people who made it. People like Franklin, Lincoln, the Roosevelts, the abolitionists, the suffragists. Civics and the documents worth defending. A healthy streak of wit, because ideas wear better with a sense of humor. And yes, protest. Because caring out loud is an American tradition older than the country itself.
You'll find it on tees, mugs, posters, stickers, totes, and more, all designed to be read up close and worn on purpose. Some pieces are quiet and scholarly; some are loud and unapologetic. All of them are meant for someone who'd rather start a conversation than blend in.
Who's behind the shop.
I'm Jeff — a retired federal audit manager (and recovering CPA) who spent my career in evidence and now spend it exploring ideas. I design every piece myself, here in Sellersburg, Indiana. I care about getting the history right, the wording sharp, and the details honest.
How it's made.
Every design is my own.
