I was shopping with my sister in law and found this random store that had a lovely Christmas ornament in the window made of stained glass. Of course I had to have it! I thought it would be perfect in my mom's room at Christmas time when we went to decorate it for her. I got home and just started thinking about how much I miss creating things with my hands, and how pretty the ornament was in the light. I signed up for a class at a local glass store, but that was 6 weeks away and I just didn't want to wait that long. So I headed to Hobby Lobby, bought a kit and the rest is history! I taught myself with the help of websites, videos, and a lot of trial and error. I am still learning! My son taught me how to solder and suggested a few ideas I have run with as well in this new creative avenue I am exploring! It seems like every time I make my sun chimes for someone I come up with a new idea I want to explore. My favorite is still creating Sun Chimes for someone! I love finding out what colors they like, if they want a theme, or just little things about them and then creating something completely handmade and unique!
I am proud of what I've made and what I'm continuing to learn to make. It makes me smile when I've completed something and I want to share it with everyone!
