We love creating fun and individual clothing and textiles with bold and quirky prints that tell a story, whilst carefully choosing organic and fairly traded materials and ethical production ways for the canvas of our ideas.
Our fascination with tribal art, folklore and the wonders of nature serve as our never ending design inspiration.
We develop our print designs in rather old fashioned method, working with collage, free hand drawing and paint brushing. We then print our textiles using silkscreens, and manufacture with much love in London and also India, where we have recently extended one arm of our production to. We work with a Fair Trade Federation accredited manufacturer in Jaipur who supports artisan based textile craft (such as wood block printing) and source local, organic and fairly traded fabrics.
KOMANA was founded by Swiss sisters Nina and Livia and is currently operating between London and Zurich.

Livia was responsive, and found a pair that'd fit me better which I eventually purchased. The shorts arrived nicely yet sustainably packaged, and the shorts itself is of a cool, plush cotton fabric in a comfortable and flattering cut! The print was what originally drew my attention, and it turned out to be even more elegant and at once versatile than I imagined! It pairs well with almost every top in my closet, from stripes, print, to solid colors! An extremely worthwhile, beautiful, and functional buy! I will certainly keep my eyes out for future Komana designs!
