Kaizen Design Studio: built for those that care
At Kaizen Design Studio, we build furniture that connects us to the natural world from which we came and to the better world we want to create. We believe in the power of beauty to inspire, to transform, and to move us toward the best we can be. We believe that surrounding ourselves with natural materials reminds us to experience life the way it was intended. Our pieces stand as a rebellion against the artificial, a declaration of war on all things synthetic. Our battle is not just a physical one but a philosophical one. We fight against the cold, impersonal embrace of manufactured, processed materials because they dull our senses and rob us of our humanity.
Some struggle to see how a handcrafted piece of furniture could ever improve the quality of their lives. Some see no harm in the lifeless plastics that have invaded their homes. Some will argue that there is no reward in reaching for the stars and instead have accepted their place in the lowest ranks of life. We will not accept it, and we have a feeling that you won’t either. We care about the little things and truly believe that they matter. The dining table, where we gather with our family, matters. The jewelry box, where we store our grandmother’s ring, matters. The dresser we pass on to our children matters. We build for those who care and care for those we build for.
