Welcome to KamDix Designs
Back in 1997 I discovered the wonderful world of beading! And just loved learning new techniques in stringing. I wanted more than that. And that's when I decided to make my first amulet bag, with the help of Alice Korach, the found editor of Bead & Button Magazine. I was working at Kalmbach Publishing was honored to have learned from the best. After learning tubular peyote and making my first bag, I found the Mac Program, BeadScape and began to design my first amulet bag, which I still have.
When Kalmbach decided to start up BeadStyle Magazine, I didn't have to think twice to be on that staff. At that time my last name was Biedenbender. Could it have been anymore fitting? LOL.
Again, I wanted more - things became, how should I say, "stifling" and decided to leave the corporate world and open my own bead store. With the help of my late husband, (where I got that "beady" kind of name) and my kids - a store was remodeled and I opened Bead Needs. Unfortunately after a few years, I had to close - recession set in. I went back to a "real" job for the next 14 years. Just last year I retired and now have put my time and energy into making patterns, doing more jewelry to sell and just enjoy life.
If you don't see a pattern that you'd like to see designed, by all means - let me know! Let's work out something! Or, just contact me to say 'hi'! Paulette
