About Kansas Prairie Soap
I began making soaps after taking a class in the 1990’s at Summer’s Past Lavender Farm in El Cajon, CA. After that I was hooked. I made it for family and for friends. Still I was overrun. I was always wanting to try a new kind or a new technique. The natural progression was to make soap for sale. I sold soap for many years under the name Prairie Soap Company at retail locations, Farmer’s Markets, Craft Shows, and Festivals & Fairs. Then life got crazy busy raising teens, kids in college and then weddings and grandchildren started coming. I still made soap for our use, to give as gifts and for my daughter’s wedding favors. At the end of 2017 I joined my husband in early retirement and decided I wanted to offer my soaps for sale again. Now that I live in NW Kansas, a change of name,
Kansas Prairie Soap!
All my soap is created by cold-process method in my NW Kansas kitchen. All bars are hand cut and can vary in size. All are cut to a generous 5 or more ounce bar. Curing consists of water evaporating and the bar hardening. Because of this, all bars vary in cured weight from 4.5 to 5.0 ounces.
All ingredients are natural. Soap is not tested on animals and does not contain animal products so it can be considered Vegan friendly
