What is most important to know about Kari's Ceramics?
Since all my products are handmade and shaped as organic forms, each piece is truly unique. Each one is slightly different from another and tiny imperfections might occur such as a 'freckle' or a tiny air bubble in the glaze. Sometimes the bowls might be not totally round due to the high temperature they go through for strength and durability, yet they will remain stackable. The glaze-nuance (color) might vary a bit from piece to piece. The weight can also sometimes vary between the same kind of pieces. I always choose as similar pieces as possible within one order. These small differences in shape, color and weight come with the character and beauty of handmade.
In short: My ceramics come in natural variations!
How do I take care of the pottery?
All my pottery is microwave and dishwasher safe. The pieces can be heated in the oven with a maximum temperature of 120°C/ 248°F.
All my pottery is made from very high quality stoneware clay, to make sure they can easily withstand everyday use. Working many years with high- capacity restaurant I got all assurance that they are strong and pass the needed tests .
In short: dishwasher safe, and loves to be touched and used frequently.
Can you wrap my order as a gift?
Since I need to make sure the pottery you ordered arrives safe, it must have lots of bubble wraps surrounding it. This is the reason why it is not possible to gift wrap your pottery. However, I am more than happy to add a hand written message from you attached to the present you bought. Please include the message in your note to Seller once you do the check out.
Do you also take orders from restaurants and hotels?
Yes, I definitely do. I have many years of experience collaborating with high-end restaurants which are looking for unique pottery; fulfilling both small and very large orders. What happens if my parcel gets lost?
Please send me a help-request via Etsy messages. I need to be notified WITHIN 21 DAYS of your orders latest estimated arrival date. If your parcel is not found we will collect your refund via Etsy Purchase Protection Program or my carrier insurance; depending on value
SOLUTION You will receive a refund or the pottery is send again to you - as you wish. Please be patient with me, as filing the paperwork for this might take time.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not notify me within those 21 days, I can not take any responsibility for lost parcels since my carrier will not search for the parcel after that. In case of loss my insurance only covers shipping costs and a small percentage of the order value - the remaining is a gesture from me to you.
What happens if my pottery is broken upon arrival?
Luckily, this rarely happens. If it does, please make a picture - preferably as early as possible. The more of the box and wrapping I see, the better I can understand what happened and improve my services. Send me a help-request via Etsy messages. Together we can collect your refund via the Etsy Purchase Protection Program and you can decide if you would like your money back or a replacement piece.
