Made to fit your window, and your story

A few years ago, we moved into our first old house—the kind with beautiful original windows but awkward, non-standard sizes. I spent weeks searching for curtains that fit, that felt soft, and that didn’t look like everyone else’s. Nothing worked. The ones I loved were too short; the ones that fit felt too stiff.

So, I did something I’d never done before—I made my own.

I dug out an old sewing machine, bought some natural linen, and stitched a simple panel. It wasn’t perfect, but when I hung it up, the room finally felt like ours. The sunlight came through softly, the colors were muted and calm, and for the first time, the room felt finished.

That feeling—that quiet, cozy, "this is home" feeling—is what ourshop is all about.
