Frequently asked questions
Where can I find my digital purchase?
To access your digital files from your account: Sign in to Etsy.com and go to Your account. Go to Purchases and reviews. Next to the order, select Download Files.
I'm studying for my CPC, where should I start?
A great place to start is the ICD-10-CM Guidelines. My shop has a listing for ICD-10-CM Guideline notes that provides my simplified version of the guidelines. I also have many listings for CPT notes that simplify procedure coding and make it easier to code correctly.
What am I allowed to put in my books if I'm going to take an AAPC exam?
AAPC book notes for exam taking are listed on their website and should be verified again before making notes in your books. Handwritten notes are acceptable if they pertain to daily activities, questions from study guides, practice exams or the exam itself is prohibited.
You may insert tabs in the manuals. Altering, whiting out, painting, or printing over pages within the codes books are prohibited. You are not allowed to put post-it notes within the books.
What kind of pens/highlighters do you use?
I use erasable gel pens purchased on amazon for making notes. I sometimes make mistakes when I write, and having erasable pens take the pressure off of making mistakes in expensive books.
These are the erasable gel pens I use:

(be sure to let the ink dry completely, I've had a lot of issues with smearing and ink transfer lol)
I like the pastel highlighters as they aren't so hard on the eyes, and I also like the dual tip feature.
