Announcement    Welcome to Kentucky LiveEdge! I'm Drew Gahafer, a full-time artisan, woodworker & furniture designer. My "work day," consists of making sawdust, debarking slabs, prepping reclaimed wood, painting, grinding metal, clear coating, finish sanding, flattening slabs, home-brewing wood finishes, concentrating on age old finishing applications by hand and making unique and functional home goods out of the most beautiful hardwoods available. All lumber used is responsibly sourced from urban or rural reclaimed logs. While most of the lumber used is locally sourced, I will occasionally acquire unique wood or logs from sawyer friends outside of Kentucky. I only work with domestic hardwood species and reclaimed regional woods (bourbon barrels). The legs or bases used in my builds are often reclaimed or upcycled, but custom fabrication is also an option for specific builds. I live by the philosophy, "Waste not, want not," and do my best to create cool furniture with the materials I have in stock. I'm always open to custom requests and have a strong interest in understanding what YOU want for your home or business.
