Ceramic adventure with surreal twist
Kina Ceramics shop is the home of contemporary china crockery and luxury handmade giftware. I work with bone china, material that is challenging to work with but it underlines my esthetics and rewards with elegance, high level of whitness and traslucency. I am fascinated with creative process and how thoughts and emotions are transfered into objects. When inspired I start sketching my ideas that I turn later into plaster models and prototypes. I then create plaster moulds and use old industrial slip casting technique, that has not changed much over centuries, to produce my designs. They initially go through bisque and glaze firings. Before the final firing, products are decorated with transfers or hand painted with genuine gold or platinum. All items are carefully inspected, wrapped and shipped worldwide.
