Collecting beach treasures should be easy breezy
Hi ya’ll! My name is Tara and I am South Carolina native who has enjoyed combing the beach for fossils, stones, sea glass and shells my entire life. I have used every thing imaginable to stow away my finds while trying to enjoy the beach. Sandwich bags, pill bottles, pouches, aprons and have even resorted to cellophane wrappers in a pinch. While all of these things “work”, I would always lose something and would frequently get tired of stopping to open and close bags and bottles.
I started searching the internet for better solutions and didn’t find what I was looking for. Clear acrylic shark tooth holders get etched by beach sand and bottles with latches or screw tops are a pain. Plus, cheap metal latches just don’t hold up well to salt water. The coin pouch style holders are easier to use while combing but you can lose things unintentionally and they aren’t water tight. And let’s face it, some of the items available are just too big! I desperately wanted something I could keep my teeth and small, delicate shells in but still enjoy my time on the beach without stopping to fiddle with caps, latches or ziplock bags.
When you are serious about a hobby, you want serious equipment. I played around with different ideas and I finally nailed it! Hands free beach combing with an easy flip top cap. That’s when I decided to have some fun with it and put my artsy side to work by creating a label for my shark tooth holder. My beach loving friends were jealous, so I made more for Christmas gifts. They were such a hit I decided to try my luck at selling some. I love to draw and create and this has turned into such a fun hobby for me!
My labels are all either hand drawn digital art or I sometimes use antique art images and give them my own creative twist. I use high quality, durable materials and source my bottles from a USA manufacturer. I hand cut and laminate each label and have strict quality standards for what I ship. Stickers with slight imperfections that won’t be used for a label are often sent with orders as a freebies because they are still nice enough to be used for other applications.
