5 out of 5 starsI purchased this for my fiance while away on orders but she decided it would be best to go our separate ways instead so I had no use for this piece unfortunately. I was able to get a refund for the item and I’m super grateful! Highly recommend. Buy with confidence!

5 out of 5 starsThe midnight blue is very dark compared to pic. I was confused by the shipping. The notes I got on the shipping is that the item shipped from Canada to US. Then from US to me. Which confused me as I filtered for vendors shipping from US.

4 out of 5 starsThe item itself is beautiful. As pictured and described. My only issue is that I paid ~AU$40 for shipping and it took almost a month for delivery. Ordered 31.03, delivered 28.04. The item apparently went from US → Canada → Netherlands → Australia (to me). I have read from previous reviews that shipping times were unusually long so my expectations were tempered but this specific experience was a little ridiculous.

5 out of 5 starsThis kintsugi-style vase is stunning! The deep matte black finish paired with the beautiful gold “cracks” gives it such an elegant, artistic vibe—exactly what I was looking for. It arrived perfectly packed, feels high-quality and sturdy, and looks even better in person than in the photos. It’s the perfect size for a shelf or entryway table and adds a lovely Japanese-inspired touch to my decor. I’m obsessed! Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely stunning! This Kintsugi bowl is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The deep matte black finish paired with the elegant gold repair lines is pure art — it has such a sophisticated, zen vibe. The craftsmanship is impeccable, and it feels solid and high-quality. It arrived beautifully packaged and makes a perfect centerpiece on my dining table. I’m obsessed and will definitely be back for more pieces from this shop! Highly recommend

Frequently asked questions
What is kintsugi?
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. The gold repair enhances, rather than hides, the breaks, making the pottery more beautiful for having been broken. The philosophy behind kintsugi is that we are more beautiful for our scars.
Have your kintsugi pieces really been broken?
Yes! The pottery in my store has genuinely been broken into pieces, then repaired.
Unfortunately, much of the 'kintsugi' on the market has 'breaks' that are not breaks at all- they have simply been painted onto intact pottery. I am of the opinion that this practice defeats the entire philosophy behind kintsugi. I take pride in the fact that my pieces are genuinely broken and repaired- I have scars on my hands to prove it.
Do your pieces include an explanation of kintsugi?
Yes! Each of my pieces comes with a specially designed card explaining kintsugi and the philosophy behind it. The card says "Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing breaks in pottery with gold. The gold repair celebrates, rather than hides, the flaws: the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, A tenet of kintsugi is that we are more beautiful for our scars."
Care instructions
Kintsugi is intended for display, rather than dining use. This kintsugi repair is not food safe, and liquid will damage the gold repair. Furthermore, kintsugi should not be washed with soap and water. Instead, please use your kintsugi bowl or cup to hold jewelry, watches coins, or potpourri, or simply display it alone as a beautiful piece of home decor.
Similarly, kintsugi vases should not hold water. Instead, please use them to display dried or artificial flowers, or simply display them on their own.
Custom and personalized orders
I offer custom orders. Please message me directly if you are interested in a custom order or repair.
Do you use Japanese pottery for your kintsugi art?
The majority of the kintsugi pieces in my store are made using pottery imported from Japan. A minority of my pieces are created using pottery made in China, Mexico, the U.S.A. or elsewhere. The origin of a particular piece is usually specified in the listing, but if you aren't sure please ask!
I am interested in ordering several of a particular piece, but you only have a couple in stock. Can you help me?
Yes- please message me if you are interested in making a bulk order! The pieces I have listed in stock are the ones that are already made. If you want more of a particular piece than I have in stock I can usually make more from scratch - please message me to discuss a custom order.
Care instructions
To clean your kintsugi piece, please wipe it with a dry soft cloth. Do not wash in the sink or dishwasher.
