Hello! My name is Rachel Yumi Chung and I’m the artist behind “Yumi In Color.” Here is a little bit about who I am.
I started this shop originally with DIY items such as ripped jean shorts that I would cut or headbands I would make from thrifted fabric. During the time I was in college studying art, I was in the process of discovering my voice as an artist. Years later I found that voice and now I have the joy to create art on my platform Yumi In Color.
I love creating from a variety of mediums. A few of my recent favorites are gouache, watercolor, linocut printmaking, and digital art. I enjoy creating hopeful, whimsical and vibrant paintings! I love to discover beauty in the world around me and express that into my illustrations. When I’m not painting at home, I enjoy spending time outside and chasing after sunsets with friends and family. I love eating meals with my family, especially kimchi jjigae, which is a traditional Korean dish. I hope you enjoy my work and that it would add more color into your everyday life.
