A Business Out of Craft Addiction!
My friends and I are a bunch of artists and crafters. That being said, we tend to over-buy supplies that just end up sitting untouched in boxes for years. Eventually we started selling off all our extra supplies on online auctions.
This turned out to be a lot of fun for us and so we started actively seeking out estate sales and art store close-outs to get things for our customers. People also give us boxes full of sewing and craft supplies that they inherited and we are constantly being given the "heads up" on craftspeople who are retiring. Every now and then we come across broken chandeliers, jewelry lots, and other items that we salvage parts from too. You just never know what we're going to have to offer next!
We knew that Etsy was a great place to sell crafty things and was a better venue than constantly keeping track of short-time auctions. At the beginning of 2015, we decided to open up Kitsune Craft Surplus shop.
