5 out of 5 starsA good pattern for a shift. It's a good basic staple to have for historic costume making when trying to just math it out on your own feels overwhelming

5 out of 5 starsI love empire dress and looked everywhere for a pattern which fits my tastes. Found this one, and I have to say it is pretty lovely, easy and quick to make. The fact that you can choose between two skirts styles is a nice point. I personally had choosen the panel skirt, and it turned out very pretty. I should just admit that I would loved to have more material instructions, such as zipper size; and some pattern instructions, like back skirt pleats, because it is not quite easy to make the pleats perfectly symetrical without marks. But anyway, I was delight to wear my first summer empire dress!

4 out of 5 starsLoved the process of making this dress. Unfortunately this style does not look good on me but creates a beautiful dress.

5 out of 5 starsThis is a great option for a few different periods, I'm currently doing a regency outfit and it’s perfect, but i’ve also used it for turn of the century and early Edwardian. It took me a little while to wrap my head around the instructions, but i’m really happy with how it turned out and since the fit is adjustable, there’s some room for error if you are a beginner.
