Handwrapped Macrame Gemstone Pendants and Jewelry
I discovered the technique of wrapping cabochons with macrame wraps during a trip overseas. Just before that, I had experimented with wire wrapping stones but did not like it as working with metal was not really my cup of tea.
Ever since I have discovered Macrame, I have wrapped all my stones using this technique. I feel that it looks great, and I can do a lot more with it. I am still experimenting and dont be surprised to one day see complicated and unique wraps in the shop!
I really like gemstones and am constantly fascinated by how nature could make such a boring thing such as rocks, and turn it into something as beautiful as these stones in my shop. All of the stones here are selected by me and I only put the best of those in my collection.
As they are natural stones, they are not perfect. As such, I especially have a liking towards stone which have wonderful distinct inclusions. To me, they are what makes that stone unique.
