I’m Charlisha Renata and I started Know Definition as an apparel brand in 2016. The brand name and my signature design, GraceFro, was originally created for a natural hair workshop in 2014. I eventually wanted to expand into a blog and beyond. But plans don’t always plan out.
Since then, I started a style blog under my name, Charlisha Renata. On this blog, I create looks from my thrifted finds and post DIY fashion ideas. One day, I had the idea to put my original graphic on a shirt. All I had was a tank top, felt and a sewing machine. That tank ended up being a halter (by mistake) and when I posted it, I got an overwhelming response. I eventually taught myself to screen print and I added more designs.
Know Definition is more than tees and tanks. It’s a brand about my life my lifestyle. Everything I know, love and stand for will be represented. It’s a showcase of self discovery, life and culture through style.
