++A bit about me ++

Hi there! I’m Kody- Welcome to my shop! It all started with a New Years Resolution in January 2015 to be more intentional with daily creativity.

I was a fairly creative person throughout my life but as a stay at home mama of 3 young kids, it just felt like there wasn’t a lot of time. I was in a super busy/exhausting season of life (+ homeschooling my kids that year) -and I knew I needed to somehow make it a priority.

So ...I began to carve out a little bit of time each day to create/make something and my husband and I started to do Brene Browns “Gift if Imperfection “ art journaling e-course together. One of the assignments was ‘what was something you used to love to do before you believed it wasn’t good enough??”- I immediately remembered these simple characters that I drew as a kid. So I tried them - and though super simple and imperfect- they made me smile - and so I just kept drawing - a lot... and then a lot more!!!

I began to get orders from friends + started posting them on my social media- never imagining 4 years later I’d be doing the dream job I never even knew I wanted! Funny how life works sometimes hey?

It’s taken a lot of work and I’ve learned a ton (and still have so much to learn) ... but I love having this little shop and am so blessed by a super supportive Instagram community!

I dream of one day creating beautiful children’s books- but we shall see where the road leads!
