Every story has its life spirit, path, and destiny. Similarly, the products in this shop have their voice. I am not the author of these stories, but I am bringing out the story from the distant past.
After working with nonprofits in India and the USA, I realized that I need to tell stories.
I talk about new and old stories, sentimental and cynical, honest and dreamy, hopeful, and sad.
And what better way to tell them by using and sharing products that are stories in themselves!
A bit about me:
I enjoy stories that take me on a journey with characters dealing with various daily life conundrums entangled with political and social realities. I particularly enjoy books and movies with a hint of magic, folk cultures and mythology. I believe everyone has multiple stories with multiple viewpoints, and no one story is perfect!
I have a deep abiding love for the natural world and wilderness. The sound of the ocean waves crashing, watching a breathtaking sunset, the smell of rain on dry earth, and walking on a moonlit night is my idea of a paradise. Reading a good book with a cup of coffee and a slice of the cake comes close. And I adore baking easy cakes :-)
I also relish meaningful conversations around deeper truths of life and death. I am trying to decode my life's story, and I know I am 'not this nor that,' and 'neither here nor there'. My favourite pastime is hunting for artsy and vintage home decor items at flea markets and thrift shops. Someday I'll open a quaint little café and a vintage bookstore in a small seaside town. My heart is Delhi, my soul is Banaras, and I now live in beautiful Southern California.
