My little story. From corporate to self employed.
I've always loved illustration from such a young age. I spent most of my younger years drawing. I soon graduated high school and attended college, getting a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics & New Media with a concentration in Print.
I ended up interning at a machine shop in 2012 which lead to me starting up my first small business, making plush axolotls. I soon found myself at a corporate job and stayed there for 7 years, learning packaging and finding out I have a knack for project management. At this point in time, I was freelancing on the side to bring in some extra income (ack, student loans galore). It was getting to the point I had to push client work away cause I didn't have the time. I then realized I was putting off something I loved to do. So after careful consideration, I left corporate to become self employed.
Not even 2 weeks later, the pandemic hit and I lost everything. All my clients, ongoing projects, etc. So I lived a year off my savings and then as a last resort, purchased a laser to make physical products from my art. It was a life changing decision.
It opened up so many doors for me! I now contract with various designers and companies within the laser community along with focusing on building my own brand. You will find various hand drawn files I have done, tested and made on my 60W laser. You may also find some products iv'e made from time to time too.
