Welcome to Krøvel Furniture! Everything is handmade by us in Portland Maine.
We specialize in wall-mounted "floating" furniture. We build exclusively in solid hardwood sourced and milled domestically. Krøvel Furniture pieces are designed and handmade by us with love and care in Portland Maine.
We offer all of our pieces in solid Walnut, White Oak, Hard Maple and Cherry. Each piece is available in multiple sizes and we're always happy to build custom sizes to fit your space.
We practice Green shipping. We do not use plastic or styrofoam in our packaging-- we use corn starch packing peanuts and brown paper for an attractive and eco-friendly trip to your door
Our aesthetic is modern and contemporary while respecting and revering traditional lines and techniques. Our pieces utilize modern joinery and straightforward designs allow us to keep prices modest. We also strive for sustainability-- we donate towards 1 tree planted for each piece sold. We also package for shipment using biodegradable materials.
We believe good design should be available to all. Krøvel Furniture is for everyone! We hope you love what we do.

5 out of 5 starsGreat example of you get what you pay for. The piece is somehow more impressive in person. The craftsmanship and the gorgeous wood grain are, I daresay, "top shelf." When it arrived, I discovered that the cable holes were not wide enough to accommodate larger plugs. Make sure to measure before you place you order and request a 1/4" extra to be safe. To Tim's credit, he sent me a video explaining how to widen the hole by drilling with a Forstner bit, which worked very well. and its statement on a wall are

Tim Krovel has more than 25 years experience as a carpenter and painter. Tim started his own business in 2001 and has collaborated with homeowners on projects ranging from simple shelves to wood floors to complete kitchen remodels.
