All of my 3D printed products are designed in-house, by yours truly!

I print using PLA filaments. PLA is made from renewable and natural raw materials such as corn or sugarcane. It is strong, rigid, and biodegradable.

Items are printed in layers and therefore you will notice small print lines. When I first started 3D printing, I wasn’t too impressed with the fact that I would have lines everywhere. But now I love it and try to incorporate the lines into the design. I think it gives the items a nice texture and without the lines, it would look plain and boring.

I use different techniques and print at different angles to get the best look. I also like to print my designs in parts and assemble everything. I feel this gives the item a more “manufactured” look.

Most items are printed using infill which gives the item a lightweight feel. But everything is designed to be strong and ridged by using thick walls and top/bottom layers.

I think it’s funny when I hear about all these “small” businesses because a lot of them are huge compared to mine. I run my small business from home and do everything myself, from designing the products to printing, assembly, packing, and delivering your items to the post office. Not to mention maintaining 3 online stores and responding to emails and messages.

I first started with just one 3D printer and gradually added new ones over time. I’m currently running 8 printers and they operate 24/7 to get orders out to customers as quickly as possible.

3D printing is a slow process, but I try to optimize my print times without sacrificing the quality. Most average size controller stands take about 6 hours total print time. That’s pretty fast!
