I adore the jewelry of Laceleaf Studios and this is my 5th purchase. I originally found them at the Made in Washington store, but then I connected directly with the artist here to see about a bracelet I’d seen there. She was super responsive and helpful in getting me the exact bracelet I wanted. And I get so many compliments on my earrings. Highly recommend!

Quality Handmade Goods for a Good Cause...
Hello! Welcome to my shop. My name is Marie, and I am the creative mind behind Laceleaf Studio. The name Laceleaf Studio comes from the huge, beautiful Japanese laceleaf maple tree that sits outside my workspace window in the Pacific Northwest. Laceleaf Studio is a product of my education and professional background in design, my desire to create beautiful, handmade jewelry, and my desire to give back to causes that make a difference in the world – a combination that I love! My original pieces are carefully handmade from a mixture of precious metals, gemstones, wood, and delicate Japanese glass beads and embody a sense of energy, color, and simplicity that anyone can wear with confidence and ease.
So what’s the good cause? We live in a world where there are so many, and Laceleaf Studio is dedicated to lending a helping hand. Proceeds from every purchase made through my shop will be donated to a charity of the month – a legitimate organization that is striving to do good. Every month you will see what special interest your purchase is supporting in the announcement section at the top of my shop page. Are you a customer with a suggestion? I’d love to hear your non-profit idea. Message me anytime you want with questions about my products or fundraising. And thank you in advance for considering a purchase through Laceleaf Studio, a small business trying to do a little bit of good.
My production process is slightly different for each style that I sell, but always originates with a basic inspiration. Like many other designers, I derive ideas from nature, animals, and people - but also geometry, architecture, photography, animation, even music to name a few. I have a degree and years of professional experience in design, so the learning from past mistakes and successes always plays a part as well.
Once I have that idea, it’s off to my studio workspace where I sketch it all out with paper and colored pencils or digitally on my touchscreen laptop. These sketches – along with collages, Pantone color swatches, and idea boards – hang within view as I get to work hand-stitching beads and shaping precious metals into something completely original that I’m proud of.
I personally fabricate every item sold through Laceleaf Studio. All beaded work is carefully woven together with needle and strong thread using tried and true peyote and/or brick stitch styles. It can take anywhere from one to six hours to create one pair of earrings. Once items are complete and triple-checked for quality, I photograph them alone and on models, and post them for sale in my shop. I decoratively package everything myself. As a result, all items shipped are gift ready.
My name is Marie, and I am the creative mind behind Laceleaf Studio. My professional background is in hospitality and design, but I have also been a dancer, teacher, and avid volunteer. My favorite roles? Wife and mom of two in the Pacific Northwest.

Additional Shop Policies
Each one of my pieces is a handmade item. Due to that nature there will be some slight variations in each piece. I do my very best to maintain consistency in a piece, making a serious effort to create unique, quality jewelry. Beads may vary slightly in shapes and sizes. In addition to seed beads, I also use natural stone and rock, which commonly carry inclusions, variations and slight discolorations. I handpick all elements and strive to chose ones that are as high-quality and beautiful as possible. These variations are really what make each piece unique. Please note that with beaded earrings, the longer and wider the bead work, there may be some flexibility, folding and gapping. Please see care instructions.
Additional Item Information
I strive to capture each piece as true to life as possible in my pictures. If you should need any clarification on an item, please inquire. I would be happy to send you additional pictures, or answer any questions you may have.
Additional Shipping Information
Once an item is shipped, if it is lost or stolen, it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim with the post office. In the event that there are USPS shipping delays, please remember that this is unfortunately, but entirely, out of my control. Until delivery drones are a thing, I am at the mercy of the USPS shipping services. Remember, I have put a lot of time, effort and care into each of my pieces, am thrilled that you want to wear them, and definitely want you to receive them. I have utmost confidence in the USPS delivery system, but in the event that something does go awry on their end, please remember this was out of my hands. Please verify your address before purchase completion.
Care Instructions for Seed Beaded Fringe Jewelry
Beaded jewelry requires easy care, and following a few tips should keep your lovelies in stellar shape for years to come. Be gentle! Remember the beads are made of glass and are delicate. Please try not to drop them. I recommend that my beaded fringe earrings be stored flat. Hanging is acceptable as well, but you may see some gapping as the thread is made of nylon and is flexible. With a GENTLE almost absent stroke of the earrings, this gap can be rectified. Do not pull or tug, this could cause the thread to break. Extreme moisture can also cause changes in the thread. I recommend avoiding places that have high levels of humidity while wearing them.
Care Instructions for Seed Beaded Woven Jewelry
Beaded woven jewelry requires similar care to beaded fringe. Please be gentle! Remember the beads are made of breakable glass and are delicate. Please try not to drop them. Extreme moisture can also cause changes in the thread. I recommend avoiding places that have high levels of humidity while wearing them. Because your jewelry is woven and seed beads are round, a small amount of flexibility and folding is normal. This is easily rectified by placing your items on a flat, smooth surface and GENTLY pressing them flat with the pads of your fingers. You can store your jewelry by hanging or laying it flat, but flat is preferred. Please be careful to close your ear wires while earrings are on your ears and off.
