Glazing (painting) future pieces of jewelry at a craft fair. The people love a demo.
A heap of jewelry ready to be painted with colorful glazes in my home studio.
I do art and craft fairs too.
Goofing around in one of the galleries that carries my work.
These clay pieces are being glazed by hand. Each little spiral is done by squeezing glaze out of a fine-tipped bottle.

How I Got Into This Mess

Somewhere in between my B.F.A. and my masters in Art Education I took a ceramics class. It was love at first pinch pot.

L.E.goods began on a whim when I used some scrap clay to make a couple of pendants. My friends and family liked them so I made more. Now look what happened.

Each pendant or earring is hand sculpted (no molds) from earthenware clay, hand-painted with ceramic glazes, and kiln fired by me in my home studio in Columbia, Missouri.

Where did the name L.E.goods come from? It's the phonetic spelling of my family name Ellegood and a tribute to my father who mingled artistic talent into my DNA.
