Bohemian Fusion of Moroccan Design and Southern Style
You know the question "What would you do if money were no object?", my answer has always been to be an artist, and painting has always been my preferred medium.
I started LITdecor after I had made a few of my mason jar lanterns for our back porch, and then a few more for friends, and didn't want to stop after that. I have always enjoyed any kind of craft, but I usually have a short attention span for things.. but I fell in love with the craft of making these lanterns and vases! I love the way the light reflects through colored glass, and the way colors change in different environments. I honestly never thought I would be able to support myself solely as an artist, and I wake up every day amazed that I am able to. Even though LITdecor has involved a lot of hard work, late nights, and turned my house and wardrobe into a paint stained working studio; the best word I can find to describe how I feel is lucky. I cannot imagine putting in the time and effort I have into anything else and still love doing it so much. I even have to take jars with me on vacation, not just to get the work done, but because I will start having major separation anxiety if I can't paint some jars for more than a day or two.
