A Journey from Imagination to Creation
As an artist, I have always been fascinated with fantasy and science fiction. My love for these genres started in elementary school when I first read "Redwall" and "Lord of the Rings." Watching "Star Trek" with my mother fueled my passion further. However, it was not until my father bought me a plastic Titanic kit that I truly discovered my love for making scale models.
I learned much of my art craft and painting techniques from my father as well. This, combined with my love for creating models, has led me to create the stunning pieces that I am known for today.
From the Revell Razor Crest diorama from "Star Wars: The Mandalorian," to the Klingon Battlecruiser K'Tinga model, each piece I create is unique and filled with intricate details. The artistry in my work is not just limited to the painting and detailing, but also extends to the technical achievements required for lighting and programing these models and I take pride in pushing the limits of what is possible.
Creating art with my children has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life as an artist. My motivation is fueled by their eagerness to learn and explore the same worlds of fantasy and science fiction that captured my imagination as a child. My hope is that they will carry on the legacy of artistry that my father passed down to me, and that they too will find joy in the creation of fantastical worlds that inspire and captivate.
