Metal, Stone and a Passion
Sterling silver wire and beautiful stones have been a fulfilling part of my life for many years now. There is something magical about curling and twisting metal into something of beauty that is irresistible to me. I love adding an extra measure of beauty to a stone or fossil already handsome in their own right. This is my passion.
I've been doing jewelry for many years and I do all of the work myself. I design the jewelry with a drawing. I then create the jewelry most often with wire or sheets of metal such as sterling silver, copper or brass. I also make resin jewelry.
The resin pieces are usually done in layers and take several days to complete. Working with resin is fun because I can actually create a miniature world. My love of making and collecting miniatures and dollhouses goes back even further than making jewelry.
The cabochons are genuine gemstones or handmade dichroic glass, and occasionally some other exciting find such as a fossils.
I make gemstone and pearl bracelets and "lush" dangle bracelets with lots of beads and charms.
My work room has evolved into a studio and my work is ever evolving as I am constantly learn new techniques. My newest venture is polymer clay.
While working, my golden retriever, Molly, lays nearby. Add my music and a fragrant candle, and this is one of my favorite places to be. The pace can get hectic at times, but all in all this has been a fun experience.
I am detail oriented in all my work whether it be my wire wrapping, metalwork, or anything. I strive in my shop to give great customer service and to be completely honest about my materials and work.
I will always strive to create beauty from metal and stone.
