Announcement    LaineysLandscape is not traditional landscape art,
it is more like metaphorical landscapes.

I am inspired by maps, charts, weather events,
surreal combinations of flora and fauna,
and my own simultaneously mundane and profound existence.

My approach is largely intuitive,
mostly irrational,
and absolutely scientific
when I am lucky.

In these pieces,
objects float and the energy of natural forces is depicted,
as interrelationships are questioned.

Figures in these realms have been described as
subtle, playful and mysterious.
