Quran stories, told with light
Lantern & Pen began with a simple wish: that children would know their religion in a way that feels alive, not like a chore.
Many children spend hours on a phone, scrolling through things that were never made for them. We wanted a screen that gives something back. Our books have a beginning and an end. There is no endless feed, no ads and no games to get lost in. A child opens a story, learns something real, and closes it feeling richer.
Each book retells one story from the Quran in simple, gentle words, with the Quran's own Arabic verses beside it. Children can tap any Arabic word to see what it means, listen while the words light up as the story is read aloud, then finish with a quiz, a du'a to learn by heart, and a certificate to keep.
We are honest about how our books are made: the paintings are made with AI tools and checked by hand. The story is read by an AI voice. That voice reads our retelling only and never recites the Quran. The Quran verses are shown in Arabic text, checked against the Quran, and recitation audio is not included.
