John and Bethany live in Northern Illinois. In 2014, John’s dad wanted to start a new business decorating garments, shirts, hats, bags, blankets, etc. with this new lasering and embossing machine technology. He asked John to help him out and work together to start the business and there the story began.
John’s sister got hitched in the summer of 2014 and they used John’s machines to create unique decorations, gifts and signs to use during the celebration. It was a hit and soon other friends and family wanted custom décor for their upcoming weddings. In 2015, John and his sister opened their Etsy shop just dabbling in a few items. Over time and with a slight learning curve, they were able to create more items to add to their shop. Bethany enjoys helping create custom and unique pieces for others.
The Technology
The laser technology actually burns the item and can work on almost any material. Wood works especially well because the laser actually burns and lowers the wood creating an engraved design. Lasering works best on lighter tone woods because that provides more contrast for the design. Darker wood tones do not show the darkened laser areas as much as light wood tones. We do test with different stains and paints. to create different looks.
We like to take on custom projects because our technology and design skills allow for it. Almost anything we can design a vector file for, we can laser.
