about Amalia Lopez
My work is the result of my journey through life. My father was an architect and a painter, so I was surrounded by paintings and great design throughout my childhood. Born in Spain, I was raised in Madrid and Venezuela, where Kinetic and Op artists had a great influence in my artistic aesthetic taste.
I got a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and made my way to Italy to start a career in Marketing. After a few years working in this field, I decided to get back to my true self and so studied and graduated in Ceramics and Graphic Design. As a graphic designer, I specialised in Corporate Identity and learnt to love typography, negative space, precision, lines, shapes and much more.
In 2012 my life changed again. This time, my destination was the United Kingdom. Soon, I began designing prints for my own new home, and those first designs were the seeds of what Latte Design has grown to be today.
I work a lot digitally, but I also like to get my hands dirty with acrylics, collages and markers. I take great care and pride in producing items of the highest quality possible, using archival heavy weight papers and fade-resistant inks that are designed to last a lifetime.
