Sissy & Bubba's... where it all began
After what feels like a million of (wonderful) years in college and a Master's degree later, I had a corporate career in finance and later, market research. However, God usually has his own plan for our lives.
It all started a few years ago when my husband, newborn baby boy and I drove to visit my family in south Mississippi, which is where I grew up. One night I was watching football with my dad and my husband, Chandler, was learning to applique on my mom's new toy - a monogram machine! He was so excited about it that he called me back there with him. A hilarious role reversal!
Within the next few months, I went back to work full-time, driving at least two hours each day (Nashville), pumping breast milk in my bosses closet usually while crying because I missed my baby, going through the very difficult transition of being a full-time working mommy. It's hard y'all! And I just decided it wasn't what I wanted to do. Like not for one more day. I wasn't happy. But I made it three more months so my husband and I could get our ducks in a row, bought a Baby Lock monogram machine and started the process of getting a business off the ground.
It's been so much fun staying at home and sewing. I thank God and Chandler EVERY DAY for this opportunity. I love being able to see every part of my children's day. I’m now a homeschooling mom to a 2nd grade (ish) boy and Kindergarten (ish) little girl. I love the mess. I love the chaos. I love the cheap cute clothes I can make for Maddox and Brooklyn. I love selling my stuff and put so much heart into each piece. I love YOU and am so thankful.
"And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:20
