How creativity took flight...
I have been creating art and building things for as long as I can remember. With a father in the construction industry and growing up on a ranch, I learned to worked with my hands at an early age. I constantly got in trouble for doodling all over my homework in grade school, but I was able to channel that passion into something more later in life.
I have worked in the fine jewelry industry for over seven years now and developed an interest for jewelry design. Having the opportunity to work with jewelry CAD programs and getting the hands on experience apprenticing with 2nd and 3rd generation jewelers, has opened doors to a different type of creativity in a 3 dimensional world. I just love how such tiny wearable pieces of art can speak to who we are as individuals!
When I am not dabbling in jewelry design for my "real job," you can find me sitting with a paint brush in had. I have my art degree from San Jose State University, and although I was classically trained for canvas painting, I enjoy painting on unique "canvas" such as feathers! That has really allowed my creativity to take "flight," and I'm excited to see where the journey takes me!
