Laura's Activity Room - Low Prep, Inclusive Activities for Activity Professionals (Families and Educators Welcome)
Hi, I'm Laura 👋 a Recreation Activity Director with years of experience in long-term care and programs for individuals with disabilities.
I know how much you strive to meet the needs of the residents you love, how creative you are with limited budgets, and I can only imagine your stack of paperwork is as big as mine! I truly understand the pressure to deliver meaningful programming every single day with whatever time and resources you have.
That's exactly why I created Laura's Activity Room.
Activities and resources in this shop were created from activities I have personally used in my own program, or inspired by requests from other activity professionals. I have a motto that guides both my programming and my product creation: There is always a way to adapt!
As I have been sharing these activities, I found that professionals appreciate having clear instructions, so I started including written protocols covering how to implement each activity with purpose and intention. I take pride in keeping everything low prep and ready to go. I have also enjoyed sharing calendar templates, flyers, and other planning resources to make your job a little easier.
💛 This shop is for you if you are:
An Activity Director or Assistant, Recreation Therapist, Life Enrichment Coordinator, Day Program Director, or anyone working with individuals with disabilities. Many items are also adaptable for classrooms, homeschool settings, or family game night. Activities are designed to work across a variety of populations and ability levels.
If you have been here a while, you know this shop started as a family and kids resource shop. Don't worry, those resources are still available and will continue to be here for our existing customers!
