Announcement    Here in the upper Midwest, the weather has been hot and humid. Living between 4 of the 5 Great Lakes, we generally get extra humidity all summer long.

Take a read through my site, including the information below, then enjoy the "eye candy". (While many of my fragrances smell edible, believe me, they're not!). In this Covid-18 world, soap is something we all need more of.

My cold processed soaps take 6 weeks from making to availability for purchase. Because I also sell locally, sometimes the amount listed on Etsy isn't the same as I actually have in stock. If it is a special lorder of glycerine base soap, however, I can typically make, package and mail within 2-3 days if I happen to be out of stock, unless your are requesting more than 3 or 4 of the same item.

Anytime is a good time to be thinking about all sorts of events. We have many products which are wonderful for event guests...or for the special individual, couple or family. I have done many orders for gifts for weddings. For glycerin soaps, generally I need a couple weeks notice to make and process an order. For Cold Process soaps, I need a minimum of 7-8 weeks to make the batch, let it cure for the 6 weeks, then package and send your order.

For those who are not familiar with Cold Process soaps, they are made in the traditional manner, with premium butters, oils and lye. We also have a line of our popular glycerin soaps. What ever the type of soap we sell here at Lavish Handcrafted, remember they are SOAP made of oils which are nice to your skin, not compressed detergent bars, which are what you will most likely get in the grocery store aisles. So while our soaps are "pretty" they are meant to be used! I have extensive descriptions and photos of my cold process soaps on my FB page (see below) under the left tab titled "Notes". I can write up specials orders for you on Etsy if you find something you like there, but I don't have listed here.

People often don't want to use the "pretty soaps", but remember, they are all great for everyday use. If you want to see the colors vary and change through use, and have the most skin friendly soap out there, try our cold process soaps. I have several of them listed on Etsy, but also have many new ones which haven't made it online. Convo us for more information.

We often receive special orders for Weddings, Anniversaries, Showers, and Birthdays and many other occasions (we have several soaps with special bulk pricings for parties, or can offer discounts for large purchases of any bars) . Also think for personal use, like showers, bathtubs (fun soaps can make bath time more enticing for the kids), and the kitchen sink! Yes, at the kitchen sink you can use one of our coffee soaps to take the stink out of onion-hands or use the additional scrubbies for those gardening grimed hands!

If you have a special style of soap in mind, message us and we'll see if it's doable. During off seasons, I may not have certain "seasonal" products displayed on Etsy, but I do have many available for the asking.

REGARDING SHIPPING:

I try to get your order out as soon as possible, often the next day. All of my orders are sent out USPS, either First Class or Priority Mail. I've had very good service with them; even during the peak pre-holiday rush most packages get to their destinations in anywhere from 1-5 days. Priority Mail is generally 1-3 days. But, as we all know, weather and other things happen so packages could be delayed.

YOUR TYPICAL SHIPPING COST IS BASED ON THE PURCHASE OF ONE SOAP IN THE BOX. THAT INCLUDES WHEN YOU ORDER MULTIPLE BARS OF SOAP, WHICH TALLY UP POSTAGE FAIRLY FAST. IF ETSY OVERESTIMATES YOUR ENTIRE SHIPPING BY MORE THAN A DOLLAR, I DO AND WILL REFUND YOU THE DIFFERENCE BACK INTO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT, OR INTO WHATEVER PAYMENT METHOD YOU CHOSE WHEN YOU MADE THE PURCHASE. I DO THIS AS SOON AS I HAVE HAD THE OFFICIAL CALUCLATION ON THE WEIGHT OF YOUR PACKAGE AS I PREPARE TO SEND YOUR PACKAGE OUT.

Remember it's significantly cheaper to ship multiple bars of soap, so think ahead and keep some on hand for hostess gifts or for that time when you need a nice little gift but don't have the time to go out and look for something. And, of course, don't forget to get some special soaps just for yourself!
