LayerForge North started with a simple truth: good tools deserve a good home. I’ve spent years working with my hands — woodworking, building, fixing, and figuring things out the hard way. Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just drawn to the work itself, but to the systems behind it. The little improvements. The small upgrades. The things that make a job smoother, cleaner, and more satisfying.

That’s where the spark came from.

I began designing and 3D‑printing small tools and organizers for my own workflow — pieces that didn’t exist anywhere else, or at least not in the way I needed them to. Friends started asking for them. Then coworkers. Then people I’d never met. That’s when I realized I wasn’t just making parts… I was solving problems.

LayerForge North was born from that idea:
practical tools, built with intention, designed to make everyday work easier.

Every item in this shop starts the same way — with a real need. Something that rattles around in a tool belt, slows down a job, or just doesn’t feel right. I prototype, refine, test, break, and rebuild until the design earns its place in the shop. Nothing here is rushed. Nothing is copied. Everything is built with purpose.

The “North” in our name is more than a direction. It’s a reminder of where this all started — in a small workshop, in a cold place, with a warm drive to build things that last. It’s about staying grounded, staying honest, and always moving forward.
